  • Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) - Supports early-stage clean-tech across Canada, funding up to 33% of project costs (and up to 75% including co-funding) for companies with viable business cases .

  • Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) - Federal program backing large-scale, strategic clean-tech and innovation projects (minimum C$10M funding packages). Ideal for member-driven, transformative initiatives .

  • Canada Greener Homes Grant (NS) - Homeowner grant in Nova Scotia supporting retrofit projects—heat pumps, insulation, windows—backed by federal funds until December 31, 2025 Natural Resources Canada.

  • Low Carbon Communities Program (NS) - Provides up to 75% funding (to $75k/project) for community-led energy and emissions projects in buildings, electricity, transportation, and education. 2025 EOI & applications have closed; next round expected early 2026 Government of Nova Scotia.

  • Sustainable Communities Challenge Fund (NS) - Nova Scotia fund for local climate action projects (mitigation/adaptation), inclusive of equity and nature-based solutions.   • Clean Fuels Fund (NS industrial) - Supports industrial/business sector fuel switching—biofuels, green hydrogen, RNG—covering 75% of <$500k and 50% of larger project costs. 2024–25 full year intake Government of Nova Scotia+1Funds for NGOs+1.

  • Innovative Clean Energy Fund (BC) - BC’s ICE Fund invests in pre-commercial clean energy tech (bioenergy, tidal, smart grid, etc.), offering project-specific funding and collaboration gov.bc.ca.

  • BC Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative & Community Energy Diesel Reduction

    BCICEI: Funds clean energy planning, feasibility, and small-scale generation projects by First Nations Government of British Columbia.
    CEDR: Supports diesel-reliant remote communities in BC with capacity planning, efficiency, and renewables Government of British Columbia+1Canada.ca+1.

  • Clean Energy for Rural & Remote Communities (CERRC / Wah‑ila‑toos) - Federal program delivering >C$11M for clean energy in Indigenous and remote communities (solar, biomass, storage, efficiency). Applications ongoing until funds are depleted (2027) Canada.ca.

  • Clean Fuels Awareness (NRCan) - Supports Indigenous-led clean fuels awareness and education—hydrogen, RNG, biofuels, synthetic fuels, SAF. Continuous intake until March 31, 2025, or until funds run out ubcm.ca+1Government of Nova Scotia+1.

  • Active Transportation Fund & Rural Transit Solutions - Federal capital funding for bike lanes, transit networks, and micromobility. Pathways for Indigenous communities extend beyond Feb/March deadlines .

  • 14. Municipal Climate Resiliency Grants - Provides up to $200k for municipal climate resiliency projects against floods, wildfires, etc. Available until January 25, 2025 ubcm.ca.
