Canada’s Electricity Strategy Summit

Join us in Ottawa on June 23-24, 2026 for Canada’s Electricity Strategy Summit!

Canada’s Electricity Strategy is expected to shape investment, policy, grid modernization, electrification, innovation, and implementation priorities across the country for years to come. This session is designed to help SGIN members understand what is emerging, what it means for their organizations, and where the most significant opportunities may lie.

Participants will hear directly from leaders involved in the development and implementation of the strategy, gain insights into federal priorities and potential impacts across the electricity sector, and explore how the strategy could influence future funding, partnerships, projects, and market opportunities.

More importantly, this is an opportunity for members to help shape the conversation. Through facilitated discussions and roundtables, attendees will be invited to provide feedback on the strategy, identify implementation challenges and opportunities, and contribute perspectives that can help inform future engagement with governments, utilities, communities, and industry partners.

Attendees will leave with:

  • A clearer understanding of Canada’s Electricity Strategy and its implications for the electricity sector.

  • Insights into emerging opportunities related to grid modernization, electrification, distributed energy resources, energy data, innovation, and implementation.

  • The opportunity to provide direct feedback on the strategy and discuss practical considerations for successful implementation.

  • Exposure to potential partnerships, projects, and collaborative initiatives that may emerge as the strategy advances.

  • Connections with peers, utilities, policymakers, and industry leaders working to accelerate implementation across Canada.

The session will open with networking opportunities and a joint social event with Electricity Canada, creating additional space for relationship-building and discussions around future collaboration.
