Webinar Description:

Join us for the AI Energy Hackathon Canada and Trinidad & Tobago webinar, a forward-looking session for government, not-for-profit, education, utility, and private-sector leaders interested in turning energy data into practical climate, cost, innovation, and grid-management outcomes. Building on the Canada–Trinidad & Tobago hackathon use case, the webinar will discuss how real electricity data, AI tools, mentorship, and cross-sector collaboration helped students move from energy consumers to active analysts and problem-solvers, creating practical ideas to reduce energy use, support smarter grid planning, lower costs, and advance sustainability. With perspectives from CZITT, Canadian and Trinidad & Tobago partners, utilities, universities, and the Smart Grid Innovation Network, the session will explore why the hackathon model worked, how energy data can become a powerful educational and innovation resource, and how Caribbean, Canadian, and international partners can build on these outcomes to create scalable programs, research, and projects for a cleaner, more efficient energy future.
