What Do Careers in Renewable Energy look like?
SGIN joined Anna-Lee Vienneau from The Gaia Project for a Q&A Renewable Energy panel where green experts discussed their roles and more!
SGIN was excited for the opportunity to participate alongside panelists: Raphael Roy (Corbo Inc.), Oriana Cordido (Naveco Power Inc.), and David Giles (Steele Auto Group) where they discussed the benefits of renewable energy, current challenges with renewable energy in NB, innovative solutions, career pathways, and more during the hour long session.
It is crucial for our youth to be introduced to these topics and understand how renewable energy can mitigate climate change. SGIN would like to thank Anna- Lee and The Gaia Project for leading an important discussion for our future! To listen to the full panel discussion, click on the video above.
The Gaia Project is a non-profit charitable organization with the mission to empower youth to take action on climate change through education. The Gaia Project nurtures New Brunswick students’ natural curiosity and intelligence through inquiry-based projects about energy, waste, water, transportation and sustainability. In K-12 classrooms across the province, they deliver hands-on programs showing students how their behaviours influence energy systems and offering the chance to identify and solve real-world problems.
Gaia’s student-led approach is meaningful and memorable, instilling in youth a sense of agency and autonomy to take action in their schools, homes and communities. It also fosters the 21st-century skills that help our young people learn and grow as citizens. Their action-based projects inspire them to develop practical responses to the here and now and be part of a sustainable energy future.
