SGIN’s Working Groups are a meeting place for all members – government, academia & research institutions, NGO & industry associations, vendors & suppliers, utilities & system operators, municipalities, students, retired professionals, ESG enthusiasts, and prosumers, to collaborate, network and connect with our member network of industry professionals, contribute to the success of our organization, and make a meaningful and positive impact on the energy transition. Working Groups are exclusive to SGIN Members.

2023 Active Committees - open for applications

We are seeking interest from our Members to participate in any of the following committees listed below: 

  • Membership & Outreach Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Steering Committee

We encourage you to apply below if you are interested! We will always welcome new applicants, however we will be determining the chair for each committee by February 24th 2023.

The purpose of the Membership Committee is to support SGIN membership growth by soliciting membership, identifying engagement opportunities, and enabling membership services.  The Membership, Outreach & Marketing Committee meets monthly. Additional meetings may be held as deemed necessary by the Committee Chair or as requested by any Committee member.  
The purpose of the Finance Committee is to advise the SGIN Board in fulfilling its obligations and oversight responsibilities relating to financial planning and management of the Smart Grid Innovation Network Canada.  The Finance Committee meets quarterly. Additional meetings may be held as deemed necessary by the Finance Committee Chair or as requested by any Finance Committee member or the External Accountant / Auditor. 
The purpose of the Steering Committee is to provide advice, support and ensure delivery of operational activities.  The Strategic Planning Committee meets monthly. Additional meetings may be held as deemed necessary by the Committee Chair or as requested by any Committee member.
