National Electricity Roundtable (NER)

Established in 1994, the National Electricity Roundtable (NER) was created with the primary objective of engaging with federal ministries in ongoing dialogues concerning various aspects of the Canadian electric power industry. These discussions encompass policy and regulation matters as well as advancements in technology.

Today, this commitment remains steadfast as Canada works towards achieving its net-zero objectives and targets. NER continues to organize two annual industry events, which attract regular participation from multiple ministries. During these gatherings, ministries offer updates on their respective activities and initiatives within the electric power sector.
