Solar Alberta

Our Mission: To accelerate Alberta’s transition to a just and sustainable energy future, we advocate, educate, and serve as an industry and community hub for solar energy. Formed in 1991, Solar Alberta is a non-profit society that believes solar energy and solar-related technologies are key to a sustainable and just energy future in Alberta. As a robust community hub, our membership is made up of over 350 individuals and businesses from all over the province. Our focus is on educating the general public and solar industry professionals as well as advocating for solar energy and solar-related technologies. In both 2014 and 2021, Solar Alberta received Alberta’s highest environmental honour by winning the Emerald Award in the coveted Community Group & Nonprofit Association category.
