September 29, 2023

September 2023 – The Smart Grid Innovation Network Canada (SGIN) and the North Shore Micmac Tribal Council (NSMTC) are happy to announce a joint promotion for SGIN’s EIF 2023 National Conference (Moncton, Oct. 30-31) and NSMTC’s 2nd Annual Indigenous-led Energy Conference (Moncton, Oct. 24-26).

The SGIN EIF rotates its location nationally each year and will not be back in New Brunswick for several years.

2nd Annual Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium

The North Shore Mi’kmaq Tribal Council’s 2nd Annual Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium will bring together leaders from First Nation communities, utilities, government and industry for two days of conversation and collaboration on “The 3 Horizons of Opportunities” as it relates to energy sector initiatives with 2030, 2035 and 2050 decarbonization plans.

Both organizations are working to advance the implementation of community electrification and decarbonization overall, at pace and at scale. We recognize the value of working together wherever possible, and that collaboration and open dialogue are critical to having impactful energy transition happen in Canada. With indigenous-led input and action tied to national issues and expert updates, we see the value to these 2 events and the need for those attending to be informed and updated.

Therefore, SGIN is offering that confirmed attendees to NSMTC’s Energy Conference will receive from SGIN:

  • An 18% discount off the registration fee for EIF 2023 by using the promo code: NSMTC at checkout
  • A one-time 15% discount for new SGIN Membership registrations for municipalities, organizations and companies. The Membership discount is time limited to applications received in October, 2023.

Come join our two events. Through collaboration, we will make a difference.
